Self-Advocate Presenter Program (3rd Session)
October 13 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
The Self-Advocate Presenter Program is for people who have completed the Self-Advocate Speakers’ Training (SAST), graduates of the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), and current DVU Ambassadors who want to become leaders and trainers.
In this program, you will:
- Learn about the regional center system, services, supports, and rights.
- Build your leadership and presentation skills.
- Learn how to teach and train others.
- Practice answering questions and sharing information.
- Help self-advocates, families, professionals, and community members better understand disability services.
After you complete the program, you may have opportunities to work as a paid trainer or presenter.
All trainings will be held on Zoom.
Training dates:
- September 22: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- September 29: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- October 13: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
